Learn Canva | Graphic Design for Social Media is a course that teaches the fundamentals of designing graphics and images for various social media platforms. In this course, students will learn Canva & how to create visually appealing and engaging content that can capture the attention of their target audience on social media.

The course covers topics such as the different types of graphics and images that work best on various social media platforms, how to create and customize designs and best practices for optimizing graphics for different social media channels.

Throughout the course, students will also learn about color theory, typography, and composition, which are essential elements in creating effective designs for social media.

Upon completing the course, students will have a strong understanding of the principles of graphic design and how to apply them to create engaging content for social media platforms. They will have the skills necessary to create visually stunning graphics, including social media posts, banners, ads, and other content that can help them build their personal brand or promote their business on social media.

Module 1: Font & Color for Maximum Impact 

In Module #1, we’ll introduce you to, Canva and how it can help you create designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and effective in communicating their intended message.

• Introduction to Canva (our favourite graphic design software), including Tips & Tricks
• Font: learn about different font families and their characteristics, how to pair fonts for maximum impact, and how to use typography to enhance the visual appeal of social media graphics.
• Colour: Make your brand stand out with the right shades, palettes, and placements
• Design: Understand how to combine different design elements, such as text, colors, and patterns, to create a cohesive and visually appealing design.

Module 2: Templates

Creating templates for social media posts can help save time, ensure consistency, and enhance the visual appeal and effectiveness of your social media marketing efforts.

• How to Create Templates: Using templates ensures that all your social media posts have a consistent look and feel, which helps to strengthen your brand identity and make it more recognizable to your audience.
• How to work with Templates: Once you have a template that you're happy with, you can simply swap out the text, images, and other content as needed, rather than starting from scratch every time.
• Using your own images: How to easily upload, resize and reformat your photos and videos 

Module 3: Build Your Brand

Now that you have a strong understanding of the principles of graphic design we will apply them to create engaging content for social media platforms. 

• Together we will create visually stunning graphics, including social media posts, banners, ads, and other content that can help you build your personal brand or promote your business on social media.
• Learn how to export your imagery and upload it to your feeds 
• We will also show you how to create business cards, posters and more
